Proper care can extend the beauty and life of your flowers and plants. Below are helpful tips to keep your arrangements and greenery thriving.
Rose Care
- Use lukewarm water for hydration.
- Add the provided flower food to the water.
- Snip the stems approximately ¾ inch at a 45° angle.
- Change the water every couple of days.
- Keep roses in a cool space with indirect sunlight.
General Flower Care
- Fill the vase two-thirds full with fresh, lukewarm water and add flower food.
- Remove any foliage that will sit below the water line.
- Trim about ¾ inch from the bottom of each stem at a 45° angle.
- Place the arrangement in a cool location, away from direct sunlight.
- Change the water regularly, especially after the second day.
Dish Garden Plants
- Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
- Water thoroughly when the soil feels dry to the touch.
- Do not allow the plant to stand in water.
- Place in a bright location with diffused sunlight and warmth.
Succulent Dish Garden
- Needs bright, indirect sunlight.
- Water only when the soil is completely dry (typically once per week).
- Do not let the plant sit in standing water.
Money Tree
- Requires bright, indirect sunlight.
- Rotate the plant monthly to promote even growth.
- Water thoroughly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.
- Feed regularly during the spring and summer months.
Orchid Plants
- Keep temperatures between 60°F and 80°F with high humidity.
- Avoid drafts and cold air exposure.
- Fertilize regularly during warm months to support the bloom cycle.
- Support long stems by inserting a stake into the potting media and attach with small clips.
- Water every 7 to 10 days. Check dryness by pressing a finger into the moss or soil; water thoroughly and let drain. Wipe any water from the leaves.
African Violet Plants
- Prefers bright, indirect sunlight.
- Keep soil moist but ensure proper drainage.
- Keep away from floor vents, fans, and doorways to avoid drafts or cold bursts of air.
Peace Lily Plant
- Lightly water when the top inch of soil is dry.
- Prefers indirect light and room temperatures between 65°F and 80°F.
- Avoid exposure to drafts or sudden temperature changes.
- Fertilize in spring and summer.
- Note: Peace Lilies are mildly toxic to pets and humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Wash hands after handling.
Bamboo Plant
- Thrives in indirect light.
- Use bottled or distilled water.
- Add a small amount of water every 2 to 7 days to keep the soil moist.
- Ideal temperature: 65°F to 90°F.
- Fertilize monthly.
Poinsettia Plant
- Best kept indoors between 65°F and 75°F. Avoid areas with fluctuating temperatures.
- Prefers indirect sunlight.
- Water weekly when the soil feels dry. Water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain.
